Grants

Access comprehensive Grant profiles that streamline the process of tracking transactions and managing reporting schedules.

Introduction

Use grant profiles to ensure that the financial resources are accurately assigned to the respective grants, enabling precise budget management and spending oversight.

Tag transactions to specific grants, allowing you to accurately track income and expenses related to each grant. This tagging system provides a clear and detailed view of how funds are being utilized.


Review the Grant Profile

Step 1: Click to Open the Grant Profile


Step 2: Review the Grant's Details

a. Review the grant's name.

b. Review the total pledged* amount of the grant.

*The pledged amount is a metric to track the grant total and does NOT represent funds in your account.

c. Review the grant ID.

d. Review the donor of the grant.

e. Review the signature date.

f. Review the reporting schedule.

g. Review the grant's start and end date.


Step 3: Review the Grant's Funded and Available Amount

a. Review the total funded* amount.

*Tag deposits to this grant to see the funded amount increase, which represents the amount that is in your account.

b. Review the available* amount.

*The available amount is calculated by subtracting all tagged expenses from the pledged amount.


Step 4: Open the Transactions Tab

Click the 'Transactions' tab to open the list of transactions tagged to this grant.

Click 'Export Transactions' to download all the transactions tagged to this grant.


Step 5: Open the Other Tab to Review All Attachments

Click the 'Other' tab to open the documents saved to this grant profile.

Click 'Add an Attachment' to upload any documents to the grant profile, such as the Grant Award Letter, the reporting schedule, previous reports, etc.


Tag Transactions to a Grant

Step 1: From the Transactions List, Click to Open a Deposit


Step 2: Click on the 'Grants Name' Field


Step 3: Select a Grant to Tag the Deposit to the Funded Amount


Step 4: Save the Transaction Details


Step 5: From the Transactions List, Click to Open an Expense


Step 6: Click on the 'Grants Name' Field


Step 7: Select a Grant to Tag the Expense to Subtract from the Available Amount


Step 8: Save the Transaction Details


Step 9: Open the Grant Profile

Open the Grants list.

Click to open the Grant profile.


Step 10: Review the Grant's Funded and Available Amounts

The funded amount increases when a deposit is tagged, and the available amount decreases when an expense is tagged.


Step 11: Open the Transactions Tab

Click 'Transactions' to review the grant's transaction list.

Click 'Export Transactions' to download all the transactions tagged to this grant.
